A two day sightseeing tour to the beautiful medieval town of Cesky Krumlov, with overnight accommodation. Located in the south of the Czech Republic, Cesky Krumlov is a UNESCO world heritage site.
After picking you up from your Prague accommodation we drive for around 2˝ hours through the scenic Bohemian countryside, to reach Cesky Krumlov. This is one of the most attractive places in the Czech Republic after Prague.
We begin our tour with a visit to the main attraction, the mighty renaissance castle, once the seat of powerful lords, the Romberks and the Schwarzenbergs. The castle houses a rich collection of period furniture, Flemish tapestries and historical weapons.
A good lunch in a medieval tavern is included in the tour, after which we check in to a 3* pension.
The remainder of the day is free, for you to explore the town. Stroll through the quaint old streets, lined with gothic, renaissance and baroque houses, once belonging to powerful noblemen. Discover the small shops and cafés of Cesky Krumlov, and walk along the lovely, winding river.
Day Two - After a full breakfast there is a choice of excursions for the morning:
1. Brewery tour with beer tasting. 2. Graphite mine visit. 3. Guided city sightseeing tour. 4. Historical rafting through Cesky Krumlov.
The afternoon is free for you to relax, do some last minute shopping or a take final stroll through this most picturesque town, before we leave Cesky Krumlov for the journey home.
Prague Experience sightseeing tours are in English and another language. They are led by professional, licensed tourist guides and use modern, air-conditioned mini-coaches.
The tour finishes back in Prague around 18:45, where you are dropped back off at your accommodation.
