Coda Restaurant offers a complete fine dining experience, rated amongst the best in Prague, both for leisure and business occasions.
Coda Restaurant is set in a quiet area of the Lesser Town (Mala Strana), 5 minutes walk from Charles Bridge.
The restaurant was designed by Italian architects Rocco Magnoli and Lorenzo Carmellini, onetime associates of Gianni Versace. They have created a warm, art-deco interior lit by table lamps and a crystal chandelier. There are paintings and statues by Dali, Shagal, Picasso, Kodet, Myslbek and Frank von Stuck.
In this comfortable, elegant setting, Executive Chef David Šašek displays a masterful understanding of food. His well balanced, innovative dishes are presented with flair and precision.
Waiters are welcoming and attentive, but not intrusive, sensing perfectly the moment to retire.
In the summer, there is the option of dining on the rooftop terrace, to enjoy a 360 degree panorama over the Lesser Town, up to Prague Castle, and across to the Old Town. For romance and that sense of the special occasion, it does not get much better.
In the winter months, guests can take pre or post dinner drinks in the cosy library if they wish, which has an open fire.
Coda places strong emphasis on fresh seasonal ingredients. It can be difficult to choose between the delightful dishes on offer. Main courses range from succulent rib-eye steak, juicy duck breast and lamb, to fresh sea bass and Bohemian beef shank goulash.
Starters include scallops and seared venison saddle, plus a delicious Mediterranean fish soup. Desserts range from Pecan Pie to delicately layered white chocolate topped with vanilla ice cream and berry coulis.
The wines are fairly expensive, but there are good quality bottles on offer, including nice local Czech wines.
From Tuesday to Saturday there is live piano, which lends itself well to the ambience of the restaurant.
For a romantic meal or for dinner with friends or business guests, the ambience, service and most importantly the food at Coda Restaurant will not disappoint.

Coda Restaurant can host a variety of group dining and business events, both inside and out. Importantly, the restaurant also has exclusive access to the adjoining Vrtbovska Garden, a stunning baroque terrace garden registered with UNESCO World Heritage. This is ideal for weddings, parties and other summer events.
