Ungelt Jazz & Blues Club is located just off the
Old Town Square. Founded in 2000, it is one of the newer Jazz Clubs in Prague, though it has quickly established itself as a popular place with locals and foreigners.
As with other Jazz Clubs in Prague, Ungelt is a small, intimate place located in an exposed-brick cellar. An interesting feature is the scaffolding balcony - designed to squeeze as much seating into the small room as possible.
Drinks are a reasonable price, considering the prime location. As well as Czech and foreign beers, there is a good choice of cocktails. This includes the rather dangerous-sounding selection of ‘Special Absinth Cocktails.’
As the name suggests, the nightly live music at Ungelt includes both Jazz and Blues - from local and international groups. The crowd are usually a mix of nationalities and ages, making for a good atmosphere every night.
