The Klementinum in Prague is the largest, and one of the most historic complex of buildings in the Old Town.
Founded in 1232, the Klementinum covers over 2 hectares. It boasts a rich architectural evolution. Many of Europe's great astronomers, scientists, musicians and philosophers have worked here, influencing the development of this wonderful array of buildings.

Guided Tour:
The tour is in English and includes:
- Mirror Chapel: beautiful chapel built in 1724, with extensive frescos and carvings. Has two 18th century organs, one played by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on his visits to the Klementinum.
- Baroque Library Hall: the stunning home of the Czech National Library, with 20,000 books dating back to the 16th century.
- Astronomical Tower: 172 steps lead to the top of the tower for amazing 360° views over Prague. The climb is steep, so not for the very elderly or disabled.
Tour Times: Mon-Thu every hour. Fri-Sun every half hour. Runs 10:00-17:00.
