Train to Prague

Travel by Train to Prague

Praha Hlavni Nadrazi is the main Prague train station. Located in the city centre, the station is 5 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and 15 minutes from the Old Town Square. Metro: Hlavni Nadrazi (line C).

A second train station for international travel is Praha Nadrazi Holešovice, located just outside the city centre. Visitors can travel into the centre by tram, metro or taxi.

Train Times & Ticket Reservations
Check train times and make ticket reservations with České dráhy (Czech Railways), available in Czech and English (select 'en' on top right-hand corner of page).
Alternatively, purchase tickets either in advance or on the day of travel from any Prague train station. Tickets are generally available to all national and international destinations right up until the time of travel.

Travel by Coach/Bus to Prague

The main Prague bus terminal for international arrivals is Praha Florenc Bus Station. This is located on the edge of the city centre, so visitors will probably need to take public transport or a taxi for onward travel to their hotel.

Praha Florenc has a tram stop and a metro station. Florenc metro is two stops from both Muzeum (top of Wenceslas Square) and Mustek (bottom of Wenceslas Square and 5 minutes walk from Old Town Square).

Bus to Prague

Travel by Car to Prague / Car Parking

Motorists can drive into Prague without too much trouble, but the city has congestion during rush hours.

Car parking is available all over Prague: at public and private car parks, hotel car parks and on the street.

Street parking by parking meter is possible in most areas of the city. Parking meters permit stays of up to six hours during the day, and overnight. The roads off Wenceslas Square are amongst the most accessible, for example Washingtonova street near Muzeum - map.

However, to ensure your vehicle is guarded, you may wish to use a secure car park.
