Bellevue has recently moved to newly refurbished premises 50m away, inside the Smetana Hotel, while its original building undergoes renovation. Fortunately, the food, wines and service remain the same at the new address, and as Bellevue has such a loyal following amongst Czechs and foreign visitors, it is still a very popular restaurant to dine in.
The restaurant's menu presents meticulously prepared fresh fish and succulent meats for main courses, a sublime choice of starters, and sumptuous desserts. All dishes are beautifully presented. The current creative chef is Nicolas Decherchi, who previously led the French restaurant Paloma to two Michelin stars. The wine list includes classic International wines and Champagnes, but don't ignore the local offerings - Bellevue stocks some of the finest Moravian wines of any establishment in Prague, superior to many speciality wine merchants. An area in which Bellevue takes particular pride is in matching wine with food. If diners wish, they can choose the optional wine pairing with each course, or even select a whole menu with wines included. Bellevue Restaurant offers a true fine dining experience: excellent service, terrific cuisine and some of the best wines in Prague. Two other best in class restaurants which offer a similar dining experience are: Mlynec Restaurant and V Zatisi Restaurant. Note: The photos are from the previous address - new photos will be added shortly. The restaurant is near the river, but the view of the river and castle is restricted by trees. |
