Broadway Theatre in Prague specialises in the ballets of Tchaikovsky. Swan Lake is staged throughout the year, while The Nutcracker runs during the Christmas season. The theatre is situated on Na Příkopě street, which is Prague's main shopping district, close to Municipal House. Broadway is just a few minutes walk from the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. The theatre has a large modern, air-conditioned auditorium, equipped with high quality sound and lighting technology. There are good views of the stage from all seating areas. The ground floor (stalls/orchestra) has 598 seats, the main balcony 134 seats, plus there are 12 side boxes which each accommodate 2, 3 or 4 people. Broadway Theatre opened in 2001 to much acclaim following a major reconstruction project that transformed the city's foremost cinema into the delightful performance venue we enjoy today. Theatre facilities include a lift, toilets on both levels, a cloakroom, and several bars that open for pre-theatre and interval drinks. View listings and book ballet tickets |
