The dining room is beautiful and atmospheric; the vaulted ceilings are painted with magnificent frescos, and the tables finely dressed and attended by professional attentive waiters. Enhancing its allure, U Maliru 1543 is located on a quiet square, away from the hustle and bustle. Yet it is only a few minutes walk from Charles Bridge. U Maliru 1543 offers classic French cuisine, which is exquisite both in terms of preparation and presentation. And where the chef really employs his skills is in the range of vegetables he uses to prepare and accompany the food, to find just the right taste. Many ingredients are imported from France. Guests can choose from an ŕ la carte menu or opt for one of the tasting menus, one of which, as we are in Prague, is a nice Bohemian Menu. An optional set of wines to accompany each course is also available with the tasting menus.
Desserts are of course a French speciality, and U Maliru 1543 doesn't let you down here either, with selection of delicious mousse, cheesecake, crepes, and a fine cheeseboard on offer. There are some fine bottles of Czech and French wines to accompany the food. The restaurant owner is a wine importer, so expect high standards. U Maliru 1543 is a smart, quiet restaurant, wonderfully restored to its former glory. As you enter, a wonderful smell of freshly cooked fare permeates the air. Emperor Rudolph II himself dined here on recommendation from his royal staff. Ideal for a romantic meal by candlelight, or for a celebration with friends or family. |
