Garden at the Opera Restaurant is situated at the top of Wenceslas Square, between the National Museum and the Prague State Opera. Ideal for pre- or post-theatre, but equally for a fine meal at any time, and for any occasion. "Zahrada V Opere" is the Czech name for the restaurant, which you will need to look out for if you decide to pay a visit. An innovative, stylish restaurant, the designer's vision was to create a garden like atmosphere in the centre of the city. The feeling as you enter is certainly one of calm and tranquillity. Bamboo and plants are spread throughout, and the interior is decorated in a clean, contemporary manner. This relaxed atmosphere is complemented by gentle background tunes, designed to ease the senses. The cuisine at Garden at the Opera centres on succulent steaks and fresh fish, prepared and presented with the natural flair of their Italian chef. There are also nice salads and home-made pasta, and some tempting desserts. The wine list features some nice Czech bottles, which the waiters are pleased to help out with, as well as some good International wines. Garden at the Opera (Zahrada V Opere) is a fine restaurant, presenting good food, in clean, modern surroundings, at lower prices than many comparable restaurants in Prague. |
