Barock Restaurant is located on Prague's most fashionable street, the tree-lined avenue, Parizska (Paris street). This smart, modern restaurant is dedicated to the stars of film and music.

As you enter through glass doors you are greeted by a sophisticated bar area serving a superb range of drinks from exotic cocktails and chilled Champagne to Czech beers and wines. Ambient tunes provide cool, background music.

Exceptional lighting brings out the best in the large celebrity photos adorning the walls. The mood is artistic, with shots featuring Czech, American and other celebrities, like Simona Krainová, Dara Rollins and Matt Damon; many of whom visit Barock when they are in town.

The stylish theme runs through to the restaurant, where crisp white table cloths and sparking cutlery and glasses await.

Barock Restaurant offers International cuisine, ranging from steaks and lamb chops to Chilean sea bass, grilled gambas, scallops, Japanese sushi and Thai curry. There are also fresh salads, spicy soups and home made pasta, along with mouth-watering desserts.

The wine list has a good selection of Czech and International bottles, although drinks are a little on the expensive side, which reflects the area.

For entertainment, Barock lays on live Latin American music Wednesday to Saturday nights, which is popular.

In warmer months there is the option of dining outside, with heaters right on Parizska street.
