The Arabian style Dahab Restaurant in Prague is set in the heart of the Old Town, 8 minutes walk from the Old Town Square. Dahab means “gold or oasis“ in Arabic. The sumptuous interior of the restaurant and the general ambience reflects this. Dahab is a place to relax on cushioned couches and enjoy good Arabic food, followed by a fresh herbal tea or Moorish coffee. Dahab's decor is inspired by Egyptian, Moroccan and Tunisian cafés, in the style of the fairy-tale One Thousand and One Nights. The Dahab menu offers a range of Middle-Eastern dishes incorporating chicken, fish, beef and lamb, with several vegetarian and salad options. There are also fine Mezzés, falafel, hummus, Merguez sausages, babagannouje, aubergine, cheeses, taboule salad, pickled vegetables, stuffed vine leaves, tahini, couscous, harissa sauces and pita bread. Drinks are very reasonable, with a choice of Czech or Arabian wines, plus various liqueurs, draft Czech beers and a large cocktail list. Belly dancers perform on Friday and Saturday nights. Dahab is an entertaining restaurant, and a good alternative if you have traditional restaurants booked for the other nights of your stay in the city. Dine here and for a few hours you will forget you are anywhere near Prague. |
