The well-know British supermarket Tesco at Národní třída was newly refurbished in 2024. It is now a modern, well designed supermarket offering shoppers the widest range of food and drink in the city centre (Prague 1). Tesco occupies the entire lower floor of the huge Máj Národní Entertainment Complex. Unlike other large Tesco outlets, this store does not stray into electricals or stationary, but focuses solely on weekly shop staples and convenience buys. Products stocked at Tesco include a large selection of fresh and frozen food, sandwiches, tinned and dried foods, cereals, cleaning and washing products, basic pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and an enormous range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Alongside the wines, beers and spirits stacked on shelves, some beers and soft drinks are also available chilled from fridges. Tesco is conveniently located 5-10 minutes walk from both Wenceslas Square and the Old Town Square. |
