Half day trip to visit a prestigious Bohemia Crystal glassworks.

Czechia produces some of the finest glassware, ranging from beautifully cut vases and fruit bowls to exquisite champagne, wine and spirits glasses. The name Bohemia Crystal is known worldwide.

This sightseeing tour is part by air-conditioned bus, part on foot.

After picking you up from your Prague hotel, we take a 45 minute journey into the Czech countryside to reach the glass factory.

At the glassworks the guide leads us on a tour of the workshops, to show us the different stages of the glassmaking process. Observe the craftsmanship of the glasscutters and glassblowers as they go about their work. And if you wish, there may be the chance to try glassblowing yourself. It is harder (and hotter) than it looks!

On the tour we learn about the history of glass production both at this glassworks and throughout the country. Czechia has a long history of glassmaking.

Finally, you are presented with a small glass gift with our compliments, before we leave you to browse the onsite shop.

The store stocks glassware produced in the factory. There is absolutely no pressure to buy, but you will find high quality Bohemia Crystal at the best prices, considerably cheaper than in the shops in Prague and in your home country.

For refreshments, there is a refreshment stall in the grounds of the factory.
