| Erpet Crystal is the largest glass store in the centre of Prague, with a sales area of over 2000m spread over two floors. Erpet is located opposite the Astronomical Clock & Old Town Hall Tower on the Old Town Square. The glass in the shop is sourced from both major manufactures of fine crystal and small specialist glassmakers. Many of the items are hand cut. Most of the crystal is made in Czechia, for example the Bohemia Crystal range, although Erpet also stocks glass from nearby countries, such as the German crystal brand Arnstadt Kristall. The sales areas are split into departments: Bohemian hand-cut lead crystal, pressed lead crystal, colour cut crystal, crystal chandeliers and lamps, MOSER glass, decorative enamel glass, engraved glass, under-laid glass, plain glass tableware (goblets, tumblers, bowls, vases, etc.), small decorative articles (animals, figurines, flowers, candlesticks, etc.), and glass fashion bijoux. Visitors to Erpet Crystal will gain an appreciation of the craftsmanship of the Czech glassblowers, and of the intricate skills employed by the country's glasscutters. Other items in the store include Bohemian garnet stone jewellery, amber jewellery, antique furniture and paintings. |
