View restaurants recommended by Prague Experience: Prague restaurants ---------------------------------------------- Cihelna Barfly is a pleasant, brick cellar restaurant tucked away on a quiet street, just off charming Bethlehem Square (Betlémské náměstí) in the Old Town. With several markedly more expensive dining options in the area, Cihelna Barfly differentiates by offering good, honest food in comfortable surroundings, at prices both Prague locals and tourists find highly appealing. The food is fresh and well prepared, featuring a range of classic modern Czech dishes from chicken steaks and wings to pork fillets, beef steaks and risottos. There are also several tasty pasta dishes, plus the salmon and trout are good options. Drinks are priced exceptionally low, so you can enjoy several glasses of wine or beer, or bottles of 'Czech Champagne', without any noticeable dent in the wallet. Cihelna Barfly Restaurant is suitable for a quiet dinner for two, but equally for groups seeking good value, hearty food before a night on the town. The restaurant is located slightly off the beaten track, so lacks passing trade. The result is that sometimes it can be fairly quiet, but other times it can be fully booked with groups. Because of this, we would recommend making advance reservations, especially for groups. This will also ensure the chef has enough food in for your visit. Cihelna Barfly is just 5 minutes walk from Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square, and not much more from Wenceslas Square. For the food and the service, and the attractive prices, it's well worth the short walk. |
