| eXchange is one of the longest standing currency exchange offices in Prague. Open 7 days a week, its shop conveniently located near the Old Town Square offers some of the best rates in the city. eXchange is a modern Bureau de Change with several service windows, offering customers a safe and comfortable environment to change money (essential if you find currency exchange confusing).
Rates are updated on a daily basis in line with movements in the international currency markets.
The currency in Prague is the Czech Crown (CZK), also known as Czech koruna (Kč). eXchange accepts all major currencies, including the Euro, Pounds Sterling, US Dollar, Japanese Yen, Canadian Dollar, Australian Dollar, Swiss Franc, Danish Krone, Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krona, Zloty and Forint. It accepts these currencies in all denominations of notes. It is worth noting that they prefer newer notes, without writing on them. For example, with Pounds Sterling the notes must not have marks on the Monarch's head. It is probably worth taking a few spare notes in case any are rejected. For larger amounts (changing into 100,000 CZK or more), eXchange offers VIP rates that are slightly better than their standard rates, but you will need to travel to their sister branch in Prague 5 to make the transaction.
