New for 2024, Gabby's has joined the ever-growing list of Irish pubs in Prague. It draws on the successful formula of live sports, upbeat tunes and fast-flowing beer to create that warm pub atmosphere so popular with city break visitors. Gabby's is situated on a quiet street in the city centre, 6 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and 10 minutes from the Old Town Square.
The interior of Gabby's has a deceivingly old feel about it, and it's not just down to the deep dark wood and dusty bookshelves that line the walls. Rather cleverly, the TV screens have been built into ornate gold picture frames that might otherwise house 18th century paintings.
The TVs, of course, are modern LEDs and show live sports from around the world, in particular Premier league, Champions League, Euro and World Cup football; rugby; cricket; and athletics. A room at the back of the pub houses a large pull down projection screen, used for showing big matches. There is also a decent pool table and darts board. On tap, Gabby's offers Guinness, Heineken and the Czech beer Kruovice. There are also ciders and bottled Dutch and Belgium beers. Warm Irish style hospitality is guaranteed of course. Staff are friendly and efficient, and do their best to ensure guests walk away with a smile on their face. One thing to note is that Gabby's does not open until 6pm. Although it does close at 3am or 4am. Next door to Gabby's is the Dutch Pub. |
