| Join us on a fun tour of the castle side of Prague, and sample delicious Czech food and drinks. This guided walking tour with a difference explores the picturesque Lesser Town (Mala Strana) and Castle District (Hradcany), which is the side of Prague across the river from the Old Town. The tour runs in small groups (2-11 people) to ensure a sense of exploration and discovery.
After meeting your guide near Charles Bridge in the Lesser Town, we begin our tour by learning some of the legends and mysteries connected to this ancient thoroughfare. We then take a tram up to the heights surrounding Prague Castle. This huge area boasts some of Prague's finest historical sights: we visit the main gate of Prague Castle, the stunning 12th century Strahov Monastery, St. Norbert's Brewery, and the beautiful pilgrimage destination of Loreta. We enter the "New World" (Nový Svet) neighbourhood, a romantic off-the-track area of cobbled streets and quaint 17th and 18th century houses, and we stop off at glorious viewpoints you wouldn't normally experience on tours of Prague. Next, we walk back down into the Lesser Town, to another part of the river, to visit Kampa Island and the John Lennon Wall. For refreshments, we stop off at a fabulous local restaurant, the kind we all like to discover. Food is included in the tour. We order a
variety of dishes that showcase traditional Czech cuisine - they will be laid out in the middle of the table for you to select the food you prefer. Two drinks are also included, with a choice of light or dark beers, or soft drinks.
