Caffrey’s in Prague is a modern Irish bar, located in a corner of the Old Town Square. It is a popular, comfortable bar with plenty of atmosphere. The clientele is mostly international, there to sit and chat with friends or to watch the live sports broadcast throughout the day on one of several TVs dotted around the bar. The drinks selection includes Irish favourites such as Guinness, Kilkenny and Bulmer's/Magner's Cider, as well some local Czech brews. As Caffrey's occupies a prime spot in Prague, it attracts many tourists wandering past. This inevitably means drinks are on the expensive side compared to bars off the beaten track. In the warmer months, Caffrey's opens a terrace outside the pub on the Old Town Square. The terrace attracts stag parties and hen parties at weekends, but there is also an ever-changing mix of people, all there to enjoy a cool drink in the historic surroundings. |
