Prague’s two main squares are Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, which are just five minutes’ walk from each other. Lesser Town Square forms the historic centre of the Lesser Town on the opposite side of the river.

| Lesser Town Square (Malostranské náměstí) has been the hub of the Lesser Town (Malá Strana) since the 10th century. St. Nicholas Church dominates the centre of the square, and all around are Baroque buildings housing small shops, cafés, and quaint old pubs and restaurants. | |
